Outreach and Luncheon provided by Ocean Inc. at the Superior Driving School in Ocean County, NJ

Updated: Feb 1

Ocean Inc. Direct Service staff were recently invited by Elizabeth Slocum, President of the Superior Driving School to provide agency outreach to student drivers set to graduate. Catherine Christopher provided the outreach and free luncheon on Wednesday at the Superior Driving School Yard.

The purpose of providing outreach events at Superior are two-fold. Firstly, to provide the student drivers with services available to them in the community and by allowing Ocean Inc. to recruit CDL drivers from the Driving School, thereby increasing our roster of drivers. By doing so allows Ocean Inc. to serve more individuals and families throughout the region. The recruited drivers will provide future support for the Direct Services Mobile Outreach Trailers and bus drivers for the Head Start Program.

Superior offers student training in nine qualifications, with the most reviewed qualifications being Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A, Manual; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B, Manual and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A. The time required to complete educational training ranges from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the qualification, with a median time to complete of one month. #CommunityAction
