The O.C.E.A.N., Inc. Head Start Summer Community Outreach event coordinated by Gwendolyn Wilson MSW/MHS, agency Family Service Coordinator was held at the Student Center Building 8 on the Campus of Ocean County College in Ocean County, NJ.
With over 50 organizations in attendance including many local non-profits, the free outreach program was designed to connect the community to many resources and services to support, strengthen and empower individuals and families.
Those in attendance included but were not limited to:
-Ocean County Health Department
-O.C.E.A.N., Inc. Head Start/Early Head Start, 1st Bergen Federal Credit Union at O.C.E.A.N., Inc., Direct Services including Transportation Services and the Home Energy Department
-New Jersey Department of Children and Families
-Ocean County WIC Program
-Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore
-Ocean County Board of Social Services Mobile Outreach Vehicle
-Fulfill

Participants received free books, free snacks, free toys, free health screenings and most of all, free information from all the great organizations who came out and provided their services to families in need.
