O.C.E.A.N., Inc. 2024 Board Retreat held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lakewood on Friday & Saturday

O.C.E.A.N., Inc. conducted the agency 2024 Board Retreat on Friday beginning with the October Board of Trustee Meeting, a ‘State of the Agency’ open discussion by Tamica Mickle, President/CEO and a 'Financial Agency Overview' by Beth Hudson, CFO.

On Saturday morning, Sherrie Huff provided agency Human Resource updates and strategies. Additional senior staff including Sharonda Sheppard, Direct Services, Meg Saunders, Head Start, Dr. Kimberly Honnick, Head Start/Kindergarten Readiness, Debra Lynn Keefer, Home Energy, John Becker, Weatherization and, Grants Officer/Compliance & PR provided the board with presentations of their major accomplishments, challenges, new initiatives, goals and objectives for 2025. 

The agency retreat is designed in the sequence of a strategic planning process establishing goal setting procedures. By doing so allows agency board members and management to feel a sense of ownership in the success of the retreat. Throughout the meeting, a '2024 Year in Review' photo slideshow presentation of agency accomplishments were displayed in a prearranged sequence.
