Congratulations to Natalie Davila, a single mom of two children who is the most recently successful new homeowner in Ocean County, New Jersey. Ms. Davila began the Ocean County First Time Homebuyer Program in 2019. Throughout that time, she worked with Mark Lamela, Ocean Inc. First Time Housing Counselor, who was the applicants point of contact assisting and guiding her throughout the entire first-time homebuying process.
Ms. Davila, a former Army Service Member applied for affordable housing through Ryan Homes in Forked River and was selected to purchase an affordable unit and the rest is history. She now cannot wait to start this new chapter in her family's lives.
The First Time Homebuyer Program is sponsored by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners on behalf of the Ocean County Consortium through the Ocean County Planning Department and is administered in partnership with O.C.E.A.N., Inc. The agency has been the administrator of the First Time Homebuyer program in Ocean County, New Jersey for 28 years.

You are a first-time homebuyer if (among other eligibility requirements):
• You have not owned a home on your own in the past three years
• You previously owned a home with a former spouse or significant other and no longer reside in the home and are trying to purchase a home solely and separately.
If you were not able to attend the last set of FTHB workshops and would like to participate, another round of workshops are planned for the near future.
